Attendees: Jessica Mavadia- Undergraduate from NJIT Shadi Toghi Eshghi-Undergraduate Degree from Iran Carmen Kut- Undergraduate Degree JHU Notes: - Upon reviewing the list of courses planning to be offered for undergraduate and graduates the following conclusions were reached:
- More Physics classes should be listed particularly physics classes with emphasis on biomedical phenomena
- Core
classes (for graduate students) may not be relevant if most people
already come in with those requirements fulfilled (Signals and Systems)
- Many of the classes listed are not currently being offered
- Clinical
internship courses are scattered and unable to be tracked down, things
need to become more organized for students to participate and it would
be helpful to have year 3/4 medical students,
and/or MD/PhD students teach/give short lectures on materials to BME
students before actually sitting in on intern lectures. Also, it may
be helpful to establish this as a seminar type of course, perhaps for 1-2
elective credits.
